I had some time this weekend and decided to play around with the new Kiva API. Check out the result:

This little toy pulls a random sampling of loans from Kiva. Then it reads through each business description to find the most common words. The more often a word is used, the larger it appears in the cloud. It's an interesting way of looking at the dataset - it turns out Kiva is all about the children!!

You can also click on a word to see the loans that mention that word. Personally, my favorite view is the one that shows all words that appear at least 10 times (click on the "10" at the top where it says "Limit the number of word appearances to...")
