We're well overdue for a San Francisco Kiva.org Meetup, so, we thought we'd combine two great reasons to get together: welcoming Agents of Change to San Francisco and hanging out with the people that make Kiva.org happen - that includes you!!!!
Agents of Change is a Canadian organization committed to fostering social involvement among youth and seeking sustainable solutions to global poverty and inequity. 26 members of Agents of Change are riding bikes (that's bicycles, not motorbikes!) from Vancouver, BC to Tijuana, Mexico to raise money for loans to Mexican entrepreneurs through Kiva.org.
The Agents of Change bicyclists will be arriving in San Francisco - on their bikes - on Friday, May 25th. Join us for two events in San Francsico to hang out with the Agents of Change riders, Kiva.org staff, and other Kiva Lenders:
Friday, May 25th
Agents of Change will be arriving in San Francisco on May 25th, just in time to join the Critical Mass ride around the city. Bring your bike and come ride Critical Mass with us - just look for the people in Kiva t-shirts.
Where: Meet at Embarcadero Plaza - the ride will then take an unchartered course around San Francisco.
When: 5:30pm
Sunday, May 27th
Kiva.org and Agents of Change will be joining the CAPSULE Design Festival with a Fun Ride with Agents of Change and a get together at the Kiva.org Lounge.
Where: Octavia & Hayes St
When: 12:00pm - 6:00pm
Fun Ride
At 12:00pm we'll be meeting at Hayes Valley Green (Hayes and Octavia) for a Fun Ride kick-off at 12:30pm.
There will be a bike valet provided from 11:00am to 6:00pm at the parking lot on Hayes and Octavia so you can leave your bike when you wander over to the Kiva.org Lounge!

Join Kiva.org staff, Agents of Change riders and other Kiva Lenders in the Kiva.org Lounge at 581 Hayes St. (between Octavia St. and Laguna St.).
We'll have a live DJ, and free appetizers and drinks!
Unfortunately the Lounge has a limited capacity so please be sure to RSVP . If you have not received an Evite to this event please RSVP by sending an email to KivaSFMay07@gmail.com. Due to space limitations lenders are restricted to bringing only one guest.
We will have an optional donation at the door just to help us with some of the costs incurred to hold this event.
We're excited to see you there and have a fun afternoon celebrating the success Kiva.org has had over the past year. We've grown leaps and miles over the last 12 months and can't wait to celebrate with the community of our home town.
